April 14, 1996, Sunday.  St. Cecilia, Tustin, CA.  Desiree is baptized, 16 days shy of her 10th birthday.

May

May 4, 1996, Saturday.  Reston, VA.  Noon.  Theresa Diekan marries Mitchell ("Scott") Kelley at a Baptist Church on Lake Anne Plaza.  Reception held at Il Cigno until 5 p.m.  The married couple rode off on the Bride's mother's patoon boat, to the bride's mother's home, also on Lake Anne.  From there, the couple returned to their own Reston apartment and prepared for their honeymoon departure to Kitty Hawk, NC.  For follow-up to this story, see October 23, 1997 Press Release.  The following photo is a napkin sample from the wedding.
